Calvin Pickard Thrust Into Larger Role
6 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Calvin Pickard allowed two goals on 36 shots in a win Monday at Arizona, making his second consecutive start. He was thrust into action after Brian Elliott was injured during a collision in practice, and Michal Neuvirth landed on Injured Reserve. "It's good to get in a rhythm for sure," Picard said. "I'm starting to get more comfortable and I thought the last two were my best two so far." After this performance he might get the nod in the second end of the home-and-home with the Coyotes on Thursday back in the City of Brotherly Love.
