Calvin Pickard Starts Again On Saturday
6 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers goaltender Calvin Pickard will be playing on a second consecutive night on Saturday when the team visits Toronto. Pickard produced his fourth career shutout with 31 saves on Friday against the Rangers, and he now gets to face his former team. Pickard spent last season in the Leafs organization, making one appearance for the big club. He has a 4-1-2 record in seven starts this season with a 3.59 goals-against average and a .878 save percentage. Pickard should be avoided on Saturday as it's always tough for goalies to play on back-to-back nights and his season numbers don't exactly provide any confidence either.
