Calvin Pickard Allows Four Goals In Season Debut
1 year agoEdmonton Oilers goaltender Calvin Pickard stopped 27-of-31 shots on goal in Monday's 5-3 loss against the Panthers. Pickard made his debut for the Oilers after a strong start to the season with the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League, where the 31-year-old posted a 2.03 goals against average and .939 save percentage through four appearances. Pickard surrendered a pair of goals in both the first and second period, with three goals allowed at even-strength and one on the power-play. Pickard is not a recommended fantasy option as the backup goaltender on a team that is giving up 3.88 goals per game, which is the third-worst total across the league.
