Caleb Martin Has Productive Night Versus Lakers
4 years agoCharlotte Hornets small forward Caleb Martin impressed in his second career start on Tuesday, finishing a 101-93 loss to the Lakers with 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and one steal. The second-year player shot 7-for-14 from the field with a 3-for-7 effort from outside. The Hornets are currently rolling with a depleted squad, which is giving opportunities to bench guys like Martin. Bismack Biyombo also picked up a double-double as a starter in the loss, notching 10 points and 12 rebounds. Charlotte has another game on Wednesday against Cleveland, which doesn't give the injured guys a lot of time to recover, so Martin has a good chance to remain in the starting unit, and that puts him in a nice spot to perform.
