Cal Raleigh Getting A Rest Tuesday
2 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh is absent from Tuesday's starting lineup for the matchup with Andrew Heaney and the Texas Rangers. The slugging backstop is slashing .211/.301/.413 with five homers, 18 runs, 18 RBI, and no steals across 31 games. The club will have Tom Murphy behind the plate instead, batting seventh. The 32-year-old has put up ugly numbers so far through 12 games, batting .211 with no long balls, runs, RBI, or stolen bases over 12 games. However, over his career, he owns a .232 average with a .793 OPS, so with a southpaw on the mound, fantasy managers looking for a catcher can use Murphy as a streaming option.
