2 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh (thumb) aggravated a thumb injury during Sunday's contest against the Kansas City Royals. He initially injured his thumb while catching and was removed in the bottom of the sixth inning. The 25-year-old was dealing with a thumb issue and missed a few games earlier in the week. According to manager Scott Servais, Raleigh was removed from the game when the injured thumb took a hit catching. Strength tests on the field were "okay." Raleigh is considered day-to-day with his next chance to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Texas Rangers.
