Cal Quantrill Struggles in Second Start
3 years agoCleveland Indians pitcher Cal Quantrill allowed seven runs (five earned) across just 1 1/3 innings pitched in Sunday's 18-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. This marked Quantrill's second start of the season as the Indians are working to convert him from reliever to starter after having a slew of injuries and shortcomings in their rotation, but Sunday was a day he would like to forget. His first start on May 31st was much better as he allowed just one earned run in 3 2/3 innings pitched while striking out five, so there is definitely some potential here, but he cannot be trusted at this point.
