Caden Dana Continues Scoreless Streak
3 months agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitching prospect Caden Dana continued his scoreless streak on Thursday evening as he logged 6 2/3 innings shutout innings. He allowed just four hits with one free pass while tallying five punchouts. In his previous start on Aug. 1, he threw seven scoreless frames with seven strikeouts. Since the start of July, the 20-year-old has been on a dominant run, boasting a 1.87 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, and a 4:39 BB:K. Overall through his first taste of Double-A ball this summer, Dana has held a 2.75 ERA and 0.95 WHIP across 118 innings of work. Dana should be due for a promotion to Triple-A in the coming weeks and could even earn a brief taste of the majors, given his current pace.
