Caden Dana Bounces Back With Quality Start On Friday
4 months agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitching prospect Caden Dana tossed six innings of one-run ball on Friday evening. He allowed four hits and one free pass and struck out nine for the second time this season. This was an excellent rebound game for the 20-year-old, as he allowed six earned runs in his previous start and had an overall 3.82 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in June. Overall, the former 11th-round selection has taken a big step forward through his first look at Double-A this summer and is on track to set career-highs in most pitching statistics. MLB Pipeline ranks Dana as the 90th-best prospect in baseball and the best in the Angels system, and he remains on pace to contend for his major-league debut next summer.
