1 year agoHouston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud is expected to start the team's preseason opener against the New England Patriots on Thursday, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans. The team has not yet announced Stroud as the starting quarterback for the regular season, but he could earn the nod with a strong preseason campaign. If he struggles, Davis Mills could see action as the starting QB early in the season before Stroud inevitably takes over. While preseason action should be taken with a grain of salt, it will be interesting to see how Stroud performs against Bill Belichick's defense.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller
