C.J. McCollum Scores Well In Preseason Opener
6 years agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum had a pretty one-dimensional game in the team's preseason opener against Toronto on Saturday, scoring nine points in 12 minutes, but not doing much else. He shot 4-for-8 from the field and 1-for-3 behind the arc while registering just one rebound and one assist. McCollum had a career-high four rebounds last season and dished out 3.4 assists per game, so he's not only a scorer, but there simply weren't enough minutes for him to affect the game in other ways than scoring. He'll still be a very good fantasy pickup and as a guy who turned 27 only a couple of weeks ago, there's room to develop further.
