C.J. Kayfus Remains Strong At Double-A
4 months agoCleveland Guardians first base prospect C.J. Kayfus has continued to perform at an elite level since joining Double-A in June. Through his first 29 games at Akron, the former third-round selection in last year's draft has held a stellar .321/.440/.642 line with eight home runs, 37 RBI, and a 19:32 BB:K ratio. Since the start of July, he has tallied 10 total hits to the tune of a .313 AVG. Kayfus made his High-A debut to open the campaign and posted a .338/.437/.578 with seven home runs through 40 games before receiving the call to Double-A. Kayfus has been progressing through the minor leagues rather quickly and could make his major league debut as early as next season.
