C.J. Cron With A Monster HR Saturday Versus Boston
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman C.J. Cron hit a home run a very long way Saturday versus the Red Sox. His two-run shot account for the only two runs Tampa Bay scored. The homer went 464 feet to tie the longest HR recorded in the Statcast era by a Rays player. The blast was his 23rd of the season. Cron has already surpassed his best seasonal HR total from his time with Los Angeles. He is batting .250 with 23 HR and 58 RBI in 2018. Also worth noting is that he accumulated most of his 2017 stats and fantasy value in the second half of last season. He is not a shallow league standout, but he definitely has value in deeper leagues.
