C.J. Cron Sitting Against Rangers On Thursday
3 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron is heading to the bench for Thursday's game against the Texas Rangers. This will be the second time Cron is out of the starting lineup over the team's last four games. Matt Adams is getting the start at first base and batting fifth in the game. Cron has done a solid job of getting on base this year as he's batting .275. But he's yet to produce the power numbers we were expecting to see in his first year at Coors. He has just five home runs over 42 games. There's little reason to think the home runs won't come soon. His underlying power metrics still look solid for the most part. He ranks in the 94th percentile in max exit velocity (114.7).
