C.J. Cron Productive In Saturday Doubleheader Versus Baltimore
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman C.J. Cron found a way to contribute in both halves of the doubleheader Saturday versus the Orioles. He scored a run in the first game in the 6-3 loss. Cron would then hit a solo home run in the second game. It was his eighth of the season. He would add another RBI later. Cron has tempting power, as he has hit 16 home runs in each of the past three seasons while not playing more than 116 games. He is currently batting .282, which is better than many late-round power options. Also worth noting is that he accumulated most of his 2017 stats and fantasy value in the second half of last season. He is not a shallow league standout but he definitely has value in deeper leagues.
