6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman C.J. Cron drove in two runs against his former team Thursday. He used to play for the Angels but Thursday, he would give the Rays an early lead when he singled in two runs. The Rays were never caught in the 4-2 victory. Cron has already surpassed his best seasonal HR total from his time with Los Angeles. He is batting .253 with 22 HR and 56 RBI in 2018. Also worth noting is that he accumulated most of his 2017 stats and fantasy value in the second half of last season. He is not a shallow league standout, but he definitely has value in deeper leagues.--Jamie Mellor
