C.J. Beathard Can't Be Trusted In Championship Week
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard will be starting under center for the team in Week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals with Nick Mullens (elbow) out for the season. Beathard is going to have a tough time this week leading an offense that will be without its No. 1 running back in Raheem Mostert (ankle) and its No. 2 receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring). On the bright side, the team might get tight end George Kittle (foot) back for the first time since Week 8, but he'd hardly be enough to make Beathard worthy of fantasy consideration in leagues that start just one QB. Beathard will probably end up with around 200 yards this week and offers little in terms of upside.
