Buster Posey Exits Game Early Wednesday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey exited Wednesday's game in the seventh inning and was replaced by Curt Casali, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports. In his last plate appearance of the game, Posey was thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double in the top of the fifth inning. He remained in the game up until the bottom of the seventh inning, when Casali replaced Posey behind the plate as part of a double switch. There's no word on why Posey was removed, but managers will hope it isn't anything serious as he has been on fire at the plate this season, slashing .382/.440/.735 with seven home runs, 10 RBI and 17 runs scored in 19 games.
