Bud Norris Returns With His Eighth Save of the Season
7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals closer Bud Norris (triceps) returned to the mound on Thursday and locked down his eighth save of the year. He tossed a 1-2-3 ninth inning, striking out the first batter he faced, then inducing two fly-ball outs to end the game. Norris is now 8-for-8 in save chances with a 2.45 ERA and looks like he's locked down the closer's role for a while. Greg Holland will be one of baseball's most expensive setup men while Norris continues to finish games for St. Louis.
