Buccaneers To Run More In 2023?
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles hired Dave Canales as the team's offensive coordinator this offseason. Canales as an assistant coach with the Seattle Seahawks last season. He is hoping to bring his effectiveness in the running game to the Bucs locker room. Last season, the Bucs had the worst rushing attack in the entire NFL. Both Leonard Fournette and Rachaad White failed to do anything in the running game. That being said, the Bucs were forced to pass more than they wanted, but they won't have that luxury with Tom Brady retiring. They will have to rely more on the running game with Kyle Trask likely under center in 2023. The Bucs don't have much cap space, so the expectation is that they'll move on from Fournette. Possibly, White steps up and has more success with Canales in charge. Fantasy managers will have to wait and see what the Bucs decide to do this offseason, but White could be seeing his stock rise soon.
