Buccaneers Release David Moore
1 year agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers released wide receiver David Moore in a surprising development on Monday. He'll be a strong candidate to return to the team's practice squad to open up the 2023 regular season. Moore clearly didn't do enough to impress the coaching staff during training camp and the preseason, but he could still make an impact for the Bucs at some point this year if he sticks on the practice squad. The 28-year-old former seventh-rounder by the Seattle Seahawks in 2017 out of East Central College didn't see any NFL action in 2022. His best season came in 2020 with Seattle, when he caught 35 of 47 targets for 417 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games (six starts). The 28-year-old caught eight passes for 123 yards on 12 targets in the preseason, but he couldn't win a job over Deven Thompkins and rookie Trey Palmer.
