Bubba Wallace Maintains His Recent 2024 Hot Streak At Richmond
4 months ago23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace placed fourth in Richmond Raceway's Cook Out 400 on Sunday. Starting from the eighth position, Wallace showcased that he had one of the best cars in the field right from the beginning, as he rose up to the fifth position by the end of stage one, scoring stage points in the process. In the second stage, Wallace held his ground in the Top 10, even with other drivers being on different pit strategies. The No. 23 driver placed eighth at the end of stage two and captured a few more stage points as a result. In the final stage, Wallace avoided trouble and ran a pit strategy similar to that of his teammate Tyler Reddick. This allowed Wallace to maintain a top-10 position as the race went into overtime. On the final restart, Wallace avoided the chaos between Austin Dillon, Joey Logano, and Denny Hamlin to gain more positions and end the race with his fifth top-5 finish of the year. The NASCAR Cup Series will head to Michigan next, where he led in his last two appearances at the site and finished as the runner-up in 2022.
