Bub Carrington Drafted By Blazers, Shipped To Wizards
5 months agoThe Washington Wizards selected Bub Carrington out of the University of Pittsburgh after acquiring the Portland Trail Blazers pick in a deal that sent Deni Avdija out west. Carrington is only 18 years old and was the youngest player in the ACC last season. After compiling a historic high school career, he exploded onto the scene at Pitt when he registered a triple-double in his first-ever college game. He went on to average 13.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 2.0 threes, and 1.9 turnovers per game with shooting splits of .412/.322/.785. Carrington's biggest calling card is his distribution ability with a 2.11 assist-to-turnover ratio with 136 total assists as a freshman.
