Bryson Stott Optioned To Triple-A
3 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies optioned infielder Bryson Stott to Triple-A on Monday. In a corresponding move, the team selected the contract of outfielder Roman Quinn. Stott is currently ranked as the team's No. 1 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline. The 24-year-old saw his first taste of the majors this year and struggled quite a bit at the plate. Over nine games, he went just 4-for-30 with 10 strikeouts and only one extra-base hit (a double). Alec Bohm has secured the starting third base job with his hot start to the year, so it certainly makes sense for Stott to head back to Triple-A where he'll see more consistent playing time.
