Bryson DeChambeau Disappoints At East Lake
6 years agoBryson DeChambeau entered the Tour Championship leading the FedExCup standings, but a 19th-place finish at East Lake bumped the young American out of the top spot and into third place. DeChambeau was unable to figure out the Bermuda grass throughout his four rounds, finishing 27th out of 30 players in strokes gained around the green. While his weekend in Atlanta can be viewed as a disappointment, the seventh-ranked player in the world experienced a breakthrough 2018 season as a whole. DeChambeau rose 87 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings, posted eight top-10 finishes worldwide and found himself in the winner's circle three times. However, the 25-year-old won't have time to celebrate his success and will quickly be back in action this weekend for his Ryder Cup debut in Paris, France. American captain Jim Furyk has yet to announce his pairings, but rumors have circled for months that DeChambeau will be partnered with Tiger Woods.
