Bryse Wilson To Start For Pirates Monday
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Bryse Wilson will get the start on Monday night in the series opener with the Brewers, according to Kevin Gorman of the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. Wilson was acquired at the deadline by Pittsburgh in the deal that sent relief pitcher Richard Rodriguez to Atlanta. Over seven starts this year with the Braves, Wilson has gone 2-3 with a 4.83 ERA, 1.547 WHIP and 15.1 percent strikeout rate over 31 2/3 innings of work. The Brewers have been not been hitting well against right-handed pitching this year (.225/.313/.385), and they've particularly struggled to hit at home with a .218 average and .688 OPS at Great American Ballpark. With this in mind, Wilson could be a sneaky good streaming option on Monday night.
