Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday because of an ankle injury. The 2023 No. 1 overall pick has been sacked six times in two games to begin his NFL career and is already feeling the bumps and bruises. The 22-year-old has thrown for just 299 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions so far and is averaging a putrid 4.2 yards per attempt. Hopefully, he won't miss time moving forward, but he is not on the fantasy radar either way.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller

The Carolina Panthers showed plenty of progress once quarterback Bryce Young got back on the field in his sophomore year in 2024, and he said he's ready "to continue to build and grow" in 2025. It should help that he'll have the same offensive line, same set of receivers and the same coaching staff. It's the first time the Panthers have gone into a season with the same QB, coach and general manager since 2019, and the stability will be a good thing for Young. The 23-year-old former first overall pick looked like a different signal-caller when he returned as the starter in Week 8, completing 61.8% of his pass attempts for 2,104 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also had game-tying or game-winning drives in six of the final nine games. Young will be a QB2 with upside in fantasy, but he has the ability to take the next step in Year 3.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

After a disastrous rookie season in 2023, Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young got off to a terrible start in 2024 and was benched after just two games in favor of veteran Andy Dalton. The Athletic's Joseph Person writes that the second-year signal-caller made arguably the most important 180-degree turnaround in franchise history. Young was among Pro Football Focus' highest-graded QBs in the final 11 weeks of the season, and his turnaround was sparked by improved body language and fire and much better footwork. Young's footwork ended the year "light years ahead" of where it was at in 2023 and to begin this season, according to a team source. The former No. 1 overall pick had a 61.8 completion percentage, 2,104 yards, 15 TDs and six interceptions in his last 10 starts. He won't be a QB1 in fantasy in 2025, but his turnaround gives fantasy managers hope he could eventually get there.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young went 25-for-34 with 251 yards and three scores during their overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons. He added 24 yards and two touchdowns on five rushing attempts. This was his best performance of his young NFL career. After having a quiet first quarter, Young was able to punch in a five-yard score with his legs and threw a 33-yard TD pass to Miles Sanders in the second frame. In the third quarter, he found tight end Tommy Tremble and wide receiver David Moore on a 21-yard and nine-yard TD pass respectively. Then in the fourth quarter, Young tallied his second rushing score of the afternoon, this time from ten yards out. The former first-overall pick would then lead the Panthers to a game-winning drive in overtime which was capped off by a Miles Sanders TD run. Despite his struggles last season and at the start of this season, Young has begun to turn the corner. During Weeks 12 through 17, Young averaged a solid 22.0 PPR points per game and will carry some solid momentum into the offseason.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales said quarterback Bryce Young and the team's other starters will play in Week 18 against the division-rival Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The Falcon's defense has allowed the sixth most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in 2024. Young has been playing better lately, producing 17-plus fantasy points in four of his last six contests. With Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard (calf, knee) done for the season, this should allow Young to get more volume as a passer. In addition, the Panthers have nothing to lose on Sunday, so fantasy managers can expect the Panthers offense to leave no stone unturned to help identify the future of this Panthers offense. Young will be a borderline QB1 option for fantasy managers in Week 18 and comes in as QB14 in the latest RotoBaller quarterback rankings this week.--Nicho Roessler - RotoBaller
