Bryce Miller Dominates In Historic Debut
2 years agoSeattle Mariners pitching prospect Bryce Miller made his major league debut Tuesday against the Oakland Athletics. The top-100 prospect was lights-out, striking out 10 batters and allowing just two hits in six innings. The 24-year-old's fastball was unhittable, with a 38% whiff rate and a 40% CSW rate. The Texas native's successful debut comes after a poor start in the minor leagues; through four starts, he had a 6.41 ERA and a 17.9% HR/FB ratio. With Miller expected to remain in the starting rotation, he is a top waiver-wire pickup – but a daunting Houston offense is in store for his second go around.
