Bryce Harper To Miss His Third Straight Game Wednesday
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow) will be held out of action for the third straight game on Wednesday as the team takes on left-hander Blake Snell and the San Diego Padres. Kyle Schwarber will be slotting in as the team's designated hitter for the game. Harper received a PRP injection in his right elbow on Sunday. The hope is that he will be back in the lineup very soon, but he won't be playing the field for quite a while. The doctor who gave him his PRP injection recommended for Harper to not throw for six weeks, meaning it won't be until late July at the earliest that he could be back in the field. Over 34 games on the year, the 29-year-old is slashing .305/.361/.634 with nine home runs, 27 RBI and 29 runs.
