Bryce Harper To Get X-Ray
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (foot/ankle) will get an x-ray after fouling a pitch off of his lower leg Wednesday against the New York Yankees, according to Phillies manager Joe Girardi. Harper worked a walk off of Yankees relief pitcher Nick Nelson and stayed in the game despite being in clear discomfort during the eighth inning. Girardi also said Harper would've hit if his turn in the lineup came up during extra innings. Harper finished the night 1-for-3 with a double, one RBI, and two walks. More information should be available tomorrow, and it remains to be seen if Harper will be in the starting lineup versus the Atlanta Braves. If Harper were to miss tomorrow's NL East showdown against right-hander Charlie Morton, Brad Miller or Travis Jankowski should slot into right field and take his spot in the lineup.
