Bryce Harper Runs The Bases With No Issue On Saturday
5 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson said first baseman Bryce Harper (hamstring) had a good day running the bases. "So good that he's going to do it again on Sunday," said Thompson. Harper was placed on the injured list on June 27 with a low-grade hamstring strain. The 31-year-old is eligible to come off the injured list on Tuesday and is on target to return to action before the All-Star break. Harper is having a terrific season in 2024, slashing .303/.399/.582 with 20 home runs, 58 RBI, 52 runs, and four stolen bases over 336 plate appearances. Kody Clemens will continue to handle first base duties while Harper is sidelined. Clemens is on the deep-league radar after hitting .235 (4-for-17) with two doubles over his last five games.
