Bryce Harper OK After Pitch Hits His Face Wednesday
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper reported that he was doing fine and CT scans came back normal after he was hit in the face by a fastball on Wednesday night. In a video he posted to Instagram that was shared by the team on Twitter, Harper said that his face "is still there. We're all good. See you guys soon." Harper exited the game after being hit in the face by a 97 mile per hour pitch to lead off the sixth inning. It sounds like he should be able to return to the lineup as soon as tomorrow, although the team may opt to give him an extra day to make sure everything is alright. The bottom line is that it appears Harper has avoided serious injury and should be back in the lineup soon.
