3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (back) was removed in the third inning during the second game of a doubleheader Thursday against the Washington Nationals. Phillies manager Joe Girardi labeled Harper as "day to day" with a stiff back, but expects the 28-year-old to be back in the lineup on Friday versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. Harper reached base four times (three walks and a double) over his four at-bats on the day. The 2015 NL MVP will carry 16 homers, 37 RBI, 12 steals, and 54 runs scored with a .297/.406/.538 line into the weekend series.--Patrick Doris
