Bryce Eldridge Placed On Double-A Injured List
5 days agoThe San Francisco Giants have placed first base prospect Bryce Eldridge (wrist) on the Double-A 7-day injured list. The 20-year-old sustained this injury during spring training and will now miss the start of the Double-A regular season. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression as he may not miss too much time, since he was only placed on the 7-day injured list. Eldridge is considered the top prospect in the San Francisco system and the No. 24-best in the sport. Last season, the 20-year-old opened the campaign at Low-A and was able to reach Triple-A by the final month. Across 108 games between Low-A, High-A, and Double-A, Eldridge held a strong .293/.376/.534 slash line. Through his brief eight-game taste of Triple-A, he tallied seven hits. The former 16th overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft should push for a late-season MLB debut.
