2 years agoThe Atlanta Braves optioned starting pitcher Bryce Elder to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday, per the team's Twitter account. The 23-year-old had a solid showing in 2022, going 2-4 with a 3.17 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 20.7% strikeout rate in 10 appearances, nine of which were starts. It remains to be seen who will start the season as the Braves' fifth starter, as teammate Ian Anderson was also optioned on Tuesday. Elder may get a chance to join the team this season, but he can remain in the back of fantasy managers' minds for now.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
