Bryan Woo To Make Rehab Start This Weekend
5 months agoSeattle Mariners right-hander Bryan Woo (hamstring) has been cleared to make his first minor-league rehab start for High-A Everett this weekend. Woo is trying to recover from a mild hamstring injury and could only need one rehab start if all goes well this weekend before rejoining Seattle's starting rotation before the All-Star break. The 24-year-old has been held back by multiple injuries in 2024, but when he's been available, he's been excellent, going 3-1 with a 1.77 ERA (2.72 FIP) and 0.69 WHIP with 28 strikeouts and just three walks in 40 2/3 innings over eight starts in his second major-league season. Woo is sporting only a 18.7% strikeout rate after striking out 25.1% of the hitters he faced in his rookie season, but he's been able to induce plenty of weak contact while showing pinpoint command. He deserves to be stashed in most fantasy leagues while he's on the IL.
