Pittsburgh Penguins right wing Bryan Rust (upper body) is considered week-to-week. He stayed home at the start of the week as Pittsburgh began a four-game road trip, and it's possible these will not end up as being the only games Rust misses. Reilly Smith has a positive debut as Rust's replacement on the first line on Tuesday, registering one assist in a 4-3 overtime victory in Vancouver. The new-look line also features Rickard Rakell, who's filling in for Jake Guentzel (upper body). Rakell had two goals on Tuesday for a second consecutive multi-point outing. The line will look for further success on Thursday versus Seattle.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Pittsburgh Penguins right wing Bryan Rust (lower body) will return to the starting lineup on Tuesday to face the Philadelphia Flyers. Rust has been on the injured reserve since February 8. The 32-year-old has missed their previous three contests but will make a quick return to the lineup. Fantasy managers should expect Rust to return to his typical spot on the top unit alongside Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell. Rust has enjoyed another strong campaign, as he has tallied at least 20 goals for the sixth straight season. Through 48 games, the former third-round selection has found the back of the net 20 times and added 22 helpers. Before the injury, he tallied four points over his last five. He remains a solid option in DFS, as Pittsburgh's top unit has been quite productive throughout the season.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Pittsburgh Penguins right wing Bryan Rust (lower body) expects to return to the lineup on Saturday against the Washington Capitals. The veteran forward was unavailable for Pittsburgh's last game before the 4 Nations Face-Off due to a lower-body injury. The Penguins have not had a great time in 2024-25, but Rust should be pleased with his contributions. In 48 outings, he has posted 20 goals and 22 assists. Rust has also found success in the matchup against the Capitals, posting one goal and one assist in two games with seven shots on goal.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Pittsburgh Penguins right wing Bryan Rust dished out two helpers during their victory over the New York Rangers on Friday evening. Rust tallied his first helper on the primary assist on Rickard Rakell's 25th goal of the season in the second frame. Later in the period, Rust tallied another primary assist, this time on the power-play on Philip Tomasino's goal. Even without Sidney Crosby (upper body) on the top line, Rust was able to enjoy a productive game. Over his previous six games, Rust has tallied five points (one goal, four helpers) with 11 shots on goal and six blocked shots. Overall, the 32-year-old has found the back of the net 20 times and added 22 helpers across 48 contests. He remains a solid play in DFS on Saturday evening when he faces the Philadelphia Flyers.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Pittsburgh Penguins right wing Bryan Rust (lower body) is considered a game-time call for Monday's matchup against the San Jose Sharks. Rust was unavailable on Saturday against the Seattle Kraken due to a lower-body injury. However, it seems he might only miss one game since Rust took part in Monday's morning skate. The 32-year-old recently posted a season-best three-game goal streak and has provided plenty for fantasy managers. In 43 outings, Rust has recorded 19 goals and 38 points with 111 shots. If Rust remains out on Monday, Jesse Puljujarvi will likely come into the lineup after he was called up from the AHL. Puljujarvi has notched nine points (three goals, six assists) in 25 NHL appearances this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
