Bryan Reynolds Homers Against Yankees Saturday
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds hit his first home run of Spring Training on Saturday, as he went 1-for-2 with a hit-by-pitch in the loss to the Yankees. Reynolds sent an 0-2 slider from Darren O'Day into the stands in right field for his only hit of the day. After putting up a big rookie season in which he launched 16 home runs while hitting .314 in 2019, Reynolds struggled last year with his worst performance at any level, as he slashed .189/.275/.357 in 55 games. Reynolds is now slashing .294/.429/.529 this spring, and he appears to be the likely Opening Day starter in left field. In deeper leagues and NL-only formats, Reynolds is a solid bounce-back candidate to target that can provide some pop with good average in the outfield.
