Bryan Mitchell Posts First Quality Start
7 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Bryan Mitchell took a no-decision Tuesday, giving up three earned runs in six innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Mitchell achieved the bare minimum for the quality start, allowing five hits, three walks and striking out four. Mitchell has been wildly inefficient en route to a 5.03 ERA and 1.88 WHIP. He's had a rough go in his first full season with only a 3.2 K/9 and is a league leader in hard contact allowed. Out of options, Mitchell will be a Padre indefinitely but with his 0 percent ownership, he'll continue being a fantasy non-factor.
