Bryan De La Cruz Just Keeps Getting On Base
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie outfielder Bryan De La Cruz just keeps on getting on base and scoring runs. On Wednesday against the Washington Nationals, De La Cruz went 1-for-3 with two walks, three runs scored, and two RBI. His hit was a solo homer in the eighth inning, giving him five home runs and 17 RBI. He's hitting .336 with an .882 OPS. The Marlins are hoping this is more than a mirage and that De La Cruz, acquired for Yimi Garcia before the trade deadline, can be a starting outfielder in 2022.
