Bryan De La Cruz Homers Wednesday
2 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz had a strong game Wednesday, going 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in a 5-4 extra-inning loss to the New York Mets. De La Cruz now has 12 home runs for the season to go with his .714 OPS, 34 runs, 38 RBI, and three stolen bases in 325 plate appearances. He now has a nine-game hitting streak with multi-hit performances in each of his last four. That has helped him to a prodigious .421/.453/.825 slash line in September. He's always had plenty of talent, and time will tell if he can parlay this good stretch into a better 2023.
