3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie outfielder Bryan De La Cruz hit a grand slam home run on Friday in a 14-10 win over the Chicago Cubs. De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a run scored and four RBI. Besides the homer, he also hit two singles, lifting his batting average to an even .300 and his OPS to .787. The grand slam was the second home run of De La Cruz's major league career. While he wasn't considered much of a prospect in the Astros system before the Yimi Garcia trade, the Marlins clearly saw something they liked, and maybe they were right.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
