Bryan De La Cruz Getting Rare Start Out Of The Leadoff Spot Tuesday
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder Bryan De La Cruz is getting a rare start out of the leadoff spot Tuesday when the club takes on left-hander Ryan Weathers and the visiting San Diego Padres. It's just the second start out of the one-hole this season for the 26-year-old who has recovered since struggling to begin the month of May. De La Cruz has posted a .900 OPS and .389 wOBA for the month while he's hitting .291 with six homers, three steals, and a .785 OPS across 50 appearances on the campaign. He is one of eight right-handed Marlins bats stacked against the southpaw Weathers Tuesday night.
