Bryan Abreu Makes Astros' Opening Day Roster
4 years agoHouston Astros relief pitcher Bryan Abreu was informed on Saturday that he had made the Opening Day roster, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com. Abreu — one of the top prospects in Houston's system — had looked fairly solid before a rough appearance on Saturday, allowing four runs — three earned — on six hits and one walk while striking out six through his first 7 1/3 innings this spring. In his outing on Saturday though, Abreu allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out three in three innings of work against the Mets. Abreu should be a good pitcher to target in SV/HLD leagues, especially with his career 29.4 percent strikeout rate in the minors.
