Bryan Abreu Earns Second Save Of Season Tuesday
2 years agoHouston Astros relief pitcher Bryan Abreu picked up his second save of the season in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Twins. Abreu came in to finish the ninth inning up by two with two outs and runners on first and second. Abreu walked the first hitter he faced to load the bases but ended things there with a strikeout. The 25-year-old came in to relieve Hector Neris, who started the inning with a four-run lead. Abreu has pitched well out of the bullpen this season, posting a 2.27 ERA in 43 2/3 innings pitched. However, his fantasy value is very limited, as Ryan Pressly is firming entrenched as the team's closer.
