Bryan Abreu Called On For Saturday's Save
2 years agoHouston Astros reliever Bryan Abreu was the man manager Dusty Baker trusted with the ninth inning on Saturday when his club beat the Atlanta Braves 6-3. He struck out a pair without giving up a baserunner to earn his first save of the season. Abreu's been dominant this season, posting a 0.79 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, 42.9% strikeout rate and three holds. Despite the right-hander's brilliance, it's still Ryan Pressly who holds the closer job and got the day off after pitching three of the last four days. Fantasy managers should expect Abreu to earn a handful of save situations while collecting a number of holds throughout 2023.
