Bruce Maxwell Nearing Resolution On Legal Issues
7 years agoOakland A's catcher Bruce Maxwell may be able to resolve his legal issues before spring training begins. Maxwell has a settlement conference scheduled for Feb. 12, where he could reach a plea deal for his arrest. Maxwell was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident when he allegedly pointed a gun at a food delivery person on Oct. 28. Of course, punishment could still come down from MLB, so Maxwell is not out of the woods yet. He is currently projected as Oakland's starting catcher, but he is not a fantasy option outside of very deep leagues. A suspension would only dampen his already limited value.
