3 years agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. reportedly was in discussions to be dealt to the New Orleans Saints just before Tuesday's trade deadline, per Kimberley A. Martin of ESPN. "Both teams couldn't agree on a deal, given how much OBJ is owed the rest of the year," said Martin. It was reported earlier that the Browns had no plans of trading the star wide receiver and that they needed to do a better job of putting Beckham in a position to make plays. The 28-year-old has struggled to build a rapport with QB Baker Mayfield and has hauled in 17-of-34 targets for 232 yards over six games in 2021. He owns 14.7% of the team's target share, ranked 44th among all wide receivers. A move to New Orleans would have given OBJ a change of scenery and could have boosted his overall fantasy value, but he will remain in Cleveland the rest of the season.
