Browns Officially Hire Todd Haley To Run Offense
7 years agoThe Cleveland Browns have officially hired Todd Haley to be their next offensive coordinator. The move had been rumored since Sunday, as the Browns were intent on adding an offensive coordinator to head coach Hue Jackson's staff. The Pittsburgh Steelers allowed Haley's contract to expire without offering him a known extension, partially due to some suspect play-calling and partially due to a fractured relationship with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Haley inherits an offense with some talent, but one that is still looking for a franchise quarterback. The team will certainly draft one in this April's draft. The Browns had been without an offensive coordinator for the first two seasons of Jackson's tenure as the head coach.
