Browns Considering Trade For Anthony Harris
5 years agoThe Cleveland Browns are exploring a trade for Minnesota Vikings safety Anthony Harris, according to a source. However, another source close to the situation says it will take at least a third-round pick to land Harris and probably a second-rounder, which is more than the Browns want to give up. Cleveland would then also have to sign Harris to a big deal. Minnesota surprisingly put the franchise tag on Harris for $11.44 million in 2020 on Monday, but they did so with the idea of trading him. The 28-year-old has a good relationship with Browns defensive backs coach Jeff Howard from their time in Minnesota. He also has ties to head coach Kevin Stefanski from their five seasons together in Minnesota. Cleveland has a need for safeties after already seeing Justin Burriss and Eric Murray walk in free agency.
